Do you Travel?
Yes! Your story deserves the perfect backdrop. While my studio is based in Waverly, Iowa, I frequently travel for weddings and sessions. Travel fees may apply for destinations outside 20 miles, but whether it’s a local hidden gem or a faraway adventure, I’d love to capture your memories wherever they take us.
How many photos will we receive?
Each package specifies the number of included images, with the option to upgrade to a full gallery. Full gallery upgrades are always available for those who want every hand-edited image from their session.
How will we receive our photos?
Your edited images will be delivered through a private online gallery. From there, you can download, share, and order heirloom-quality prints and products.
Do you retouch photos?
Every gallery is hand-edited in my signature timeless, natural style that enhances your true beauty. Light retouching — including skin smoothing and minor blemish removal — is always included.
Once a gallery has been approved and downloaded, additional edits are available at $10 per image.
For advanced retouching (such as adding or removing people, complex distractions, heavy alterations, or body modifications), a $100 per image fee applies.
Whats your turn around time?
Turnaround times vary by season:
Busy Season (April–December): 4–6 weeks for portrait sessions, 2–3 months for weddings
Slow Season (January–March): 2–3 weeks for portraits, 1–1.5 months for weddings.
How do I book my session?
To book, simply inquire through my website. I respond to all inquiries Monday–Friday within 24 hours. From there, I’ll confirm availability and send your contract and invoice.
How far out do you book?
My calendar fills quickly, especially during peak season (April–December). I recommend booking 6–12 months in advance for weddings and 2–3 months in advance for portrait sessions. I am currently accepting bookings for 2025–2027.
What should we do for an engagement session?
Don't worry, we'll keep your engagement session stress-free and enjoyable! Just be yourselves, and we'll take care of the rest. Let's focus on capturing the love and laughter you share.
What should we wear?
I provide full styling support for every session. You’ll have access to my curated client closet with hand-selected outfits for moms, children, and babies, as well as guidance on colors and coordination for families and couples. Every detail is designed to create timeless, elevated portraits.
Do you offer engagement sessions with weddings?
Yes! Engagement sessions are included in all 6-, 8-, and 10-hour wedding collections. This gives us the chance to connect before your big day while capturing portraits that reflect your love story.
Do you photograph extended families?
Absolutely. Extended family sessions are one of my specialties, and I carefully plan the flow of portraits so we capture both large groupings and intimate smaller combinations.
Do you photograph pets?
Absolutely — pets are family too! Your furry friend is always welcome to join your family session at no additional cost. I also offer dedicated outdoor pet portrait sessions for those who want to highlight their companion on their own.
Do you offer albums and prints?
Yes — all galleries include access to my professional print store, offering heirloom-quality albums, wall art, and fine art prints. I believe your images deserve to live beyond the screen.
When is my booking secured?
Your session is officially reserved once both the contract is signed and the invoice is paid. You’ll have 24 hours after the invoice is sent to complete payment. If payment is not received, you’ll receive one final reminder. After 48 hours without payment, the date will be released to other clients.
